  • Hans Hansen (1884-1940)

Hans Hansen started his workshop in Kolding (Denmark) in 1909. His son Karl Gustav (1914-2002) started to lead the Hans Hansen workshop in 1940 upon his father's dead. The company is characterised by its Scandinavian modernist design. Its work is represented in major museums in New York and Europe. In 1991, the Hans Hansen firm was taken over by Royal Copenhagen which also acquired Georg Jensen.
