  • Chaumet

Founded in 1780 by Marie-Etienne Nitot, Chaumet is a French jewellery house. Serving as the jeweller to Napoléon and Joséphine, they became the Maison’s first prominent clients.

This prestigious establishment also created the emerald set that Napoleon Bonaparte presented to Marie-Louise on the occasion of their wedding, now showcased at the Louvre Museum. In 1812, Chaumet also became the first jewellery house to establish itself at Place Vendôme, specifically at n°15, the current address of the Ritz Paris. In 1907, Joseph Chaumet selected n°12 on this legendary square as the location for the jewellery house, where it remains to this day.
